Chenille as
Director
Helping Others Step Into Their Spotlight
For Chenille, directing is about more than staging a show — it’s about helping performers discover confidence, creativity, and gifts they didn’t know they had.
Over the past decade, she has guided high school students, community casts, and touring teams, writing and directing productions tailored to their talents.
Whether preparing someone for their first stage or a professional opportunity, her passion is bringing out the best in every performer.

"Step into the Spotlight..."
"...I like to make sure every performer gets their chance to shine."
Director Notes

Hi, I’m Chenille.
When I’m directing, I’m in my element. I get just as
excited about setting up the lighting as I do about
working through a scene with an actor. I’ve spent years
writing and shaping shows, but what keeps me coming
back is the people.

I love seeing a cast member take a risk they’ve never tried before, or watching a student’s eyes light up when they realize they can do more than they thought. Some of those moments happened in community theaters, some in high schools, and others while preparing performers for professional opportunities — but the joy is always the same.

For me, directing isn’t about perfection; it’s about discovery. Every rehearsal is a chance for someone to step out a little braver, a little stronger, and a little more themselves. That’s why I direct.
